Symposium Air Mobility 2021

Radiate Engineering & Design participated in the Symposium Air Mobility 2021 in Lucerne. The SAM21 was a networking event highlighting the importance of the Aerospace sector in Switzerland and the relevance of space & drone innovations for mobility solutions of the next decade. As many of our clients come from the Aerospace sector, we were happy to be part of the event and it felt good to meet some real people again after such a long time without events and physical meetings! Many thanks to all participants and especially to the Swiss Aerospace Cluster who made SAM21 a success.

Apéro at the Radiate Prototyping Lab

On April 17th Radiate Engineering hosted an Apéro at the in-house Prototyping Lab.  Around 40 people enjoyed a lively exchange alongside oriental food, drinks and snacks. Among the guests were numerous customers and business partners of Radiate Engineering, such as people from Fotokite, CADFEM, 9tlabs, Formpol, Tribecraft, Nose, CWA and Scott.

We would like to thank all our guests for coming and are already looking forward to the next Apéro!

Impressions from Polymesse 2019

Among 140 companies, Radiate took part at the recent Polymesse 2019, the largest job fair at ETH Zurich. It was a pleasure for us to meet and greet many interesting people, engage in conversations about job opportunities and share some knowledge. As we pointed out at our booth, we are always looking for new talents. Opportunities for job positions, internships or Bachelor / Master Thesis will be made public on our website as soon as they occur. Thanks to all the people we met – let’s keep in touch!

 

ETH Moto Racing at the Swiss-Moto | Feb. 21.-24.2019

The ETH Moto Racing team who set their goals on building composite motorcycle parts will exhibit their new motorbike at the Swiss-Moto 2019. From Thursday, Feb 21nd to and with Sunday, Feb 24th, they will present their project to the public at their stand on the second floor, hall 6, stand B11 (More info: https://www.swiss-moto24.ch/de/hallenplan).

The team consisting of ten students from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) also recently won the bronze medal in the rookies category of the 5th MotoStudent competition.

Radiate at SWII Additive Manufacturing & Lightweight Technologies Conference

SWII is an exclusive industrial R&D partnering program with available funding for market oriented R&D projects via Eureka and Eurostars.

On September 25th, Radiate Engineering participated at the Additive Manufacturing & Lightweight Technologies Conference that took place in Dübendorf, Switzerland.

In his speech, Radiate CEO Timothy Habermacher emphasized how companies can improve their innovation processes through simulation-based engineering.

 

 

1st Symposium on Lightweight Design in Product Development at CMASLab ETH Zürich

CMASLab at ETH Zürich hosted the first edition of the symposium “Lightweight Design in Product Development” on June 18th 2018. The purpose of this symposium was to selectively address and discuss actual topics along the entire value chain from material to design and fabrication, sharing research achievements at the leading edge of research and application and discussing and exchanging ideas on future trends.

Jonas Schmid from Radiate Engineering & Design contributed by presenting the latest findings and possibilities of advanced hybrid laminates with a special focus on the lightweight potential of Carbon/Flax hybrid laminate structures. Radiate thus forms a bridge between the latest research findings and their practical application for the composites industry.

Radiate takes part at CADFEM ANSYS Simulation Conference in Rapperswil on June 14th, 2018

On June 14, 2018, the 23rd annual meeting point for anyone involved in simulation technology or wishing to intensify it in the future is taking place for the 23rd time. All participants can expect a great deal of information from specialist lectures, as well as a CAE exhibition on complementary services and products. Radiate Engineering participates in this year’s conference and presents current work in the area of ​​simulation engineering.

Business-Apéro at Radiate Engineering

On October 5, Radiate Engineering received approx. 30 guests for a Business Apéro at their office in Zurich. There was a lively exchange alongside oriental fingerfood, beer and wine. A highlight was surely the presentation of a prototype of the Deldro AG, represented by Reto Büttner. The innovative delivery drone was developed in cooperation with Radiate Engineering – the project is still in the test phase and is continuously developed further. Among the guests at the Apéro were numerous customers and business partners of Radiate Engineering. Among others, Patric Hug and Philipp Gerrits of Orthotec, Paul Remy of Scott, Marcel Vollmer of CWA, Pius Kobler of Milkit, Roland Haas of Haas ProjectConsulting and Michael Krohn of Formpol.
