ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
The significance of Industrial Design has shifted from
‘form follows function’ to achieving differentiation
and expressing identity. It is also important that
Design and Engineering go hand in hand from
the start.
In a user-centered approach, we iterate designs
until they are distinctive and aesthetically balanced,
providing your cycling brand with a characteristic
and unique signature.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
This stage contains creating numerous sketches &
ideas of functional solutions, form exploration or
integration of components. The creative process
always focuses on client specifications and user-
needs as our constant.
As projects constantly change,
our team makes sure that the development process
is agile and open to change, enabling quick iterations
and adaptations.
IDEATION
An intelligent and stringently structured parametric
CAD has great value for product development. Using
state-of-the-art tools such as SIEMENS NX and ANSYS,
we consider manufacturability from an early develop-
ment stage, assure the integration of mechatronics &
components as well as automatic updates to the CAD-
model if any changes are made to the design.

SIMULATION-DRIVEN
We test subsystems, components or bicycles
directly on the road under real-world conditions.
With unique methods such as on-bike Data
Acquisition, we are able to record load spectra
which are analyzed and evaluated by our
engineers and converted into valuable input
for the development.
This is an integral part of our Simulation-Driven
Engineering & Design approach and makes
simulation trustworthy and cuts down cost &
time tremendously.
REAL-WORLD TESTING
AND VALIDATION
Aerodynamic drag is the single biggest force
affecting a cyclist – therefore it is crucial to
reduce it to the smallest amount possible.
With Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and
Optimization Algorithms, we simulate the
flow of fluids across various designs in order
to predict aero behaviors and optimize
structural geometries.
AERODYNAMIC
DEVELOPMENT
For the structural optimization of a bicycle
or a component, we test and validate every
design with digital twins against real-world
load-cases and ISO norms, incorporating
novel methods such as FEM and machine
learning.
That way, a cost-efficient optimization
is ensured, with no surprises after
releasing the design for manufacturing.
STRUCTURAL
OPTIMIZATION
A prototype helps the engineer and designer get
hands-on experience and straight feedback for
iteration. On the one hand, we do design prototyping
and test assembly processes, and on the other, we
test component prototypes and subsystems in structural
test setups.
In combination with the digital world of CAD and
Simulations, this generates deep insights and enables
material and design potential to be fully exploited.

With severe competition and rapidly
decreasing product lifecycles, the ability
to stay innovative is key.
With our long-term product support,
we navigate you through the lifecycle
of a product, help provide new ideas
when it comes to migrating to alternative
materials and incorporating new specs
and technologies.
PRODUCT LIFECYCLE
Transferring knowledge is an essential component
of our projects. We provide you with an effective
knowledge transfer process, ensuring that
a project or product is handed over correctly.
If problems occur, we assess damages, analyze
and evaluate them and come up with feasible
solutions – for us, that’s the definition of a
partnership on eye level.
