The Airborne Wind Energy project “ftero” takes flight thanks to the sponsorship of Radiate

Environment-conscious action and thinking has become quite important in recent years. The team around the ETH Zurich engineers from “ftero” has set itself the goal of developing an Airborne Wind Energy System – from the idea to an optimized prototype.

The students show with their project that the questions of the future energy supply can not only be answered by conventional technologies. The ftero focus project will be carried out at CMASLab, ETH Zurich, and will be presented to the public for the first time at the roll-out at ETH Zurich on 31.05.2017. In addition to the early prototypes, the first functional models LARA 1 and LARA 2 as well as the carbon wing CLARA will be introduced.

Radiate Engineering is the proud official bronze sponsor of the project and is happy about the success of ftero!
